Plants are an extremely affordable way to improve your homes look and health, particularly when grown from seeds. They do take time and effort to cultivate, but the benefits reaped from having them around are manifold.the flowers at Bowmont House extra care scheme HERE WE GROW Colin Douglass planting with Maddy Murphy, Lucy Muffat and Eve Yates ET-TOGETHER Florence Pulford, six, of Brunton First School with Irene Bartle, Jean Stewart, Margaret Nicholson and Ann Herron of Bowmont HouseGREEN-FINGERED pensioners bridged the generation gap, swapping gardening for gaming tips as they went back to the classroom. Year One pupils from Brunton First School in Great Park, Newcastle, introduced the seniors to the Wii games console, in exchange for their know-how on all things horticultural.Children got to help plant flowers and vegetables in the scheme's underused garden.Your houseplant can be an in-home drug store! Plants like Aloe Vera can help speed the healing process for many external injuries, including burns and cuts. Just squeeze the gel from your kitchens aloe plant on a burn you get from the stove and you will see how soothing natural remedies can be for minor wounds. Native Americans relied heavily on natural and herbal remedies for their medicine, so why cant we? Rather than buying products made with these natural extracts, consider keeping aloe, fennel, chamomile or ginger plants around to balance your body both inside and out. After the hard work the two groups got to showcase their exercising abilities, taking turns on the scheme's new Wii, donated by care provider Mears. Based in Wagonway Drive, Great Park, Bowmont House provides full-time care for elderly residents. It also boasts additional support and care from an onsite team.CAPTION(S):Experts recommend using one plant per ten square yards of floor space, so keep that in mind when deciding how many plants to use in each room. Depending on the kind of plant that you choose, you can use two or three to adequately care for a larger room and fewer for smaller. Keep in mind that not all plants require direct sunlight, so if your rooms are slightly lacking in light choose an appropriate plant species. Make sure that no drafts hit the plants, to ensure that their natural vapors work at maximum effectiveness.About C&J Industries: C&J Industries (http://www.cjindustries.com/) is a full-service pharmaceutical and medical contract manufacturing firm specializing in plastic product design and development, contract medical device assembly and medical injection molding components.
